Investigation underway after shots fired near Leesburg home, says Sheriff’s Office

LEESBURG, Fla. – Lake County Deputies say they are investigating after shots were fired at a Leesburg home early Saturday morning.

Deputies say they showed up around 2 a.m. to the area of Indian Trails in reference to a verbal dispute when they heard someone had fired a gun in the area

Deputies say they found out a gathering was taking place at the home and found shell casings located in the street, and several bullet holes in the window and roof of a nearby car.

Deputies say they sent up a drone to look for a suspect, but did not find anything.

Deputies say no one was hurt.

Right now, an investigation is underway, and deputies say they’ll provide more details as they become available.
