In a social media video update, Sheriff Wayne Ivey said an elderly man approached a neighbor across the street, seeking help, stating that his wife had been shot. That’s when the sheriff said another round of gunfire erupted.

Both George and Mary White were pronounced dead from their gunshot wounds after being transported to hospitals. The third victim was injured but is expected to make a full recovery, the sheriff said.

Campbell, of Texas, faces charges of second-degree murder and attempted second-degree murder. He is currently booked in the Brevard County jail.

A GoFundMe was set up to help the White family with funeral expenses.

As of Friday, the fund had raised over $3,000 of its $8,000 goal.
