Orange County may have money for you. Here’s how to collect it

Individuals have until Sept. 1 to claim the money

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – The Orange County Clerk of Courts may have some unclaimed money for you in the form of uncashed vendor payments, refunds, restitution or cash bonds, according to a news release.

The news release issued Monday states that the clerk of courts has 7,500 checks with values ranging from as low as 3 cents up to $8,450.

Individuals can check if they have any unclaimed money by visiting the clerk of courts website and viewing the unclaimed checks list.

“Our customers deserve to receive the money that is rightly theirs,” Clerk of Courts Tiffany Moore Russell said in a statement. “That is why every year we go above and beyond to spread the word about our unclaimed checks list.”

Individuals have until Sept. 1 to collect the money. After that, the money will be forfeited and deposited into the Clerk’s Fine and Forfeiture Fund.
