ORLANDO, Fla. – Carver Middle School is now part of a feeder-school program with Eccleston Elementary and Jones High School which provides vital resources for kids from kindergarten all the way through their senior year right on campus.
Through its partnership with Children’s Home Society of Florida, Carver Middle School will now be able to make sure kids have everything they need to succeed in the classroom.
The partnership helps kids find academic resources, healthcare access, family engagement and overall support while they’re in school.

Samuel Danner, principal of Carver Middle School, said by bringing these resources to the school — such as doctor’s appointments or food — it makes it easier on families who can’t take time out of their schedules.
“In today’s time, we have parents working double shifts. So, they can’t take off work and our children so desperately need these particular services, so now we don’t have to worry about it,” he said.
Children’s Home Society of Florida is the lead nonprofit for programs like this in 37 schools across the state. Carver Middle School is now the organization’s fifth school in Orlando.
“We’ll continue to all work together from the top down to make sure that children and families have what they need, that we bring in the medical support, the mental health support, the pantry support, the groceries or just anything that a family may express that they may need is where we’ll start,” said Carver Middle School Community Partnerships School Director Tabia Kuntz.
According to CHS, the program has already seen positive results. The organization said students from Jones and Evans high schools have received full-ride scholarships through partnerships with Lift Orlando and Valencia College.
