ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – A boil water advisory that was issued Monday for Orange County Utilities customers in the S. Apopka Vineland Road area lasted to Sunday morning before the county announced it was lifted.

With repairs underway after a water main break off S. Apopka Vineland Road, south of Vinings Way Boulevard, Orange County Utilities said Friday in a news release that customers in the areas highlighted at the top of this story would need to boil their water for one minute prior to consumption or use in making ice, brushing teeth or showering.

Affected customers would have been notified by phone call, email or text, the release states.

The extension was called Friday due to unsatisfactory lab test results, Orange County Utilities said in a news release. A follow-up release on Sunday stated the advisory was lifted as of 8 a.m.

Customers were encouraged to call the Boil Water Hotline at 407-254-9670 for more information.
