The woman said Felton approached her son’s vehicle and warned him not to be on what Felton claimed was his property, threatening to return with a gun. When the woman and her son returned to Felton’s residence to discuss the issue, Felton became angry and repeatedly threatened to shoot her if she did not leave, the affidavit states.

The woman reported hearing Felton say, “I will shoot you, and if I ever see you again, I will shoot you.” She also recorded video footage of Felton placing a handgun into a brown bag on his porch, deputies said.

Felton was detained by deputies at his home. He initially denied brandishing a firearm, but later acknowledged handling the weapon as seen in the video. Felton consented to surrender the firearm.

Felton faces charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and aggravated child abuse. He was booked into the Volusia County Jail.
