Officials said they were able to isolate and repair the damaged area and water pressure was restored to nearly all affected customers a few hours later.

As a result of the loss of water pressure, all residents of the Terra-Mar Village are under the precautionary boil water notice.

Officials said that means that water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or washing dishes should be boiled. A rolling boil of one minute is sufficient. As an alternative, bottled water may be used.

Bathing, showering and laundry may continue as normal.

A rescind notice will be posted when water is safe to drink.
