FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. – A 15-year-old high school student was arrested after deputies say he brought a gun to school and later pointed it at another student in the bathroom of a McDonald’s, according to a news release.

The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office said that on Friday, a student at Flagler Palm Coast High School told school resource deputies that “they were a victim of an aggravated assault with a firearm the day before.”

According to a news release, Sean Goska Jr. is accused of pointing a gun at the student in the bathroom of the McDonald’s restaurant in Palm Coast Town Center while hanging out with other students after school.

Deputies said the victim believed Goska had carried the firearm throughout the school day. They immediately removed Goska from class and searched him, confirming he was not currently armed.

Initially, Goska acknowledged being at the restaurant but denied having or displaying a firearm, but deputies said they discovered a since-deleted video that Goska posted to his Instagram account. A witness confirmed seeing the video, which showed Goska pointing a firearm at the victim, deputies said.

According to the release, Goska provided his cellphone and revealed the firearm was in his bedroom closet. Deputies said they found a 9mm pistol and a loaded magazine in the location Goska described.

“Goska told deputies that he was just playing around but confirmed that he had pointed the firearm at the victim and had carried it onto the school’s campus the day before,” the release read in part.

Deputies said Goska was arrested and taken to the Flagler County jail where he will later be turned over to the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice.

Goska initially faced charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill, possession of a firearm on school property, and possession of a firearm by a minor, according to the release.

News 6 learned Monday that Goska entered a no-contest plea to charges of possessing a weapon on school property and possession of a firearm by an in-state delinquent. The judge withheld adjudication.

Prosecutors dropped the aggravated assault charge and the teen was sentenced to up to three years in a maximum-risk juvenile facility followed by three years of community control and two years of probation.
