At the time of this report, the FAA’s National Airspace System Status website spoke of a departure delay at MCO that affected departures by an average of 30 minutes.
In a statement, the FAA had initially reported the delays were “due to a radar issue at the Central Florida Terminal Radar Approach Control (TRACON).”
On social media, the airport advised the ground stop would affect airline operations such as flight scheduled and baggage delivery, encouraging travelers to check directly with their airline for the latest updates.
