DELTONA, Fla. – An 18-year-old Deltona man is accused of shooting at an occupied vehicle at a gas station, according to the Volusia Sheriff’s Office.

Yeiriel Andres Tirado Diaz faces charges of shooting into an occupied vehicle, discharging a firearm from a vehicle and three counts of aggravated assault with a firearm, the sheriff’s office said on social media.

Deputies responded around 6:25 p.m. Friday to a shooting reported at a Circle K on Howland Boulevard in Deltona, the post states.

It was there that the sheriff’s office said the victim was at a gas pump when Tirado Diaz allegedly pulled into the parking lot and opened fire.

The victim then got into his car to flee with his two passengers as Tirado Diaz fired several more shots at him, the post states.

No one was injured, investigators said.

The victim knew the suspect because they were best friends for several years, and were arrested together in 2024. The shooter was reportedly upset because the victim’s charges were dropped and his were not.
