VIDEO: Out-of-state murder suspect arrested in Volusia County Mark Brown, 68, taken into custody
VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. – Deputies arrested an Arkansas murder suspect Thursday in Volusia County, with body camera footage capturing the moment of his apprehension.
The Volusia Sheriff’s Office took Mark Brown, 68, into custody on North Shell Road west of DeLand. Brown was wanted by the Arkansas State Police on murder charges.
Body camera footage released by the sheriff’s office shows deputies commanding Brown during the arrest.
“Take two steps to your right. Keep your hands up where we can see them,” deputies can be heard saying in the video.
Brown is scheduled for his first court appearance on Thursday. The sheriff’s office has not released additional details about the arrest or the underlying murder case from Arkansas.
