US Navy flare washes up on Florida beach

FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. – A U.S. Navy flare washed up on a Flagler County beach over the weekend, according to the fire department.

The Flagler County Fire Department responded on Saturday to the beach, near South 4th Street, and located the Navy flare.

The U.S. Navy Explosive Ordinance Disposal team safely removed the flare.

Anyone who sees any suspicious items or devices on the beach should not touch them and call 911.
