ORLANDO, Fla. – Orlando Health is making history as the first in the nation to use magnet tech for weight-loss surgeries.
This week, surgeons demonstrated the cutting-edge system during the Surgical Innovations Summit.
The technology is called “flexagon self-forming magnets.”
It was approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration this summer and doctors said it aims to make weight-loss surgeries safer, faster and less invasive for patients.
