OVIEDO, Fla. – A 45-year-old Deltona man was injured Thursday afternoon when his SUV crashed, overturned and was struck by a semi on State Road 417 near Oviedo, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
The two-vehicle wreck happened around 4:10 p.m. on S.R. 417 south near Red Bug Lake Road.
The FHP said the man was driving a 2015 Lincoln Navigator south on S.R. 417 south of Red Bug Lake Road in the inside lane.
The driver traveled onto the left shoulder, where the front left of his SUV collided with a crash attenuator, according to troopers, who added that the vehicle then overturned, traveled across the southbound lanes and was struck by a semitrailer.
