At the time, a Jeep Wrangler was heading south along SR-A1A, though the E-Biker began crossing the highway from the sidewalk — right into the Jeep’s path, the release shows.

As a result, the Jeep struck the e-biker, who was pronounced dead at the hospital, troopers explained. Troopers identified the e-biker as a 71-year-old man from Satellite Beach.

Meanwhile, the Jeep driver was not injured and remained at the scene, the release states.
