ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – The teenager who fatally shot another teen during a fight at a park in Orange County last month will be tried as an adult.
Jacori Redding, 15, is accused of killing 16-year-old Pinien Dalmacy at Vogt-Meloon Park off Oak Ridge Road on Oct. 9.
The state attorney’s office on Monday said Redding will face charges of manslaughter, possession of a firearm on school property, and possession of a firearm by a minor.

Investigators say Redding had bumped into Pinien at school earlier in the day, and when Pinien asked Redding to apologize, he refused. The two agreed to meet after school to fight it out.
Investigators say Redding shot Pinien during that fight and ran back to the school, putting the campus on lockdown.
Dalmacy was taken to a nearby hospital, where he died from his injuries, according to the sheriff’s office.
