‘Operation Roadrunner:’ Drug trafficking ring dismantled in Central Florida

Months-long investigation yielded 13 arrests, deputies said

VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. – A drug trafficking ring was dismantled in Central Florida after a series of raids and arrests, according to the Volusia Sheriff’s Office.

In a release, deputies said that the investigation — dubbed “Operation Roadrunner” — took place over several months and across multiple jurisdictions.

The operation yielded 13 arrests, though even more are expected in the “hours and days to come,” deputies added.

Furthermore, investigators said the following items were seized during the operation:

  • Nearly 650 grams of methamphetamine
  • Over 660 grams of fentanyl
  • 29 grams of cocaine
  • Six guns, one of which was stolen
  • Nearly $50,000 in cash
  • Two vehicles

The VSO also identified each of the suspects arrested in the investigation. Those suspects and their charges are as follows:
