1 shot, another injured while trying to sell vape pens in Casselberry, police say

CASSELBERRY, Fla. – A 19-year-old man was shot and 17-year-old was injured Sunday while they tried to sell vape pens, according to the Casselberry Police Department.

The shooting happened around 8:20 p.m. near Howell Branch Road and Lake Ann Lane.

Police said the victims met with the individuals to sell them vape pens when the culprits began firing at the victims’ vehicle.

The victims drove away and crashed while the shooters ran away, police said.

“Thus far our detectives have been able to determine this was an isolated incident among individuals who may be acquainted with one another and there is no ongoing threat to the public,” the department said.

The 19-year-old was shot in the chest/left arm and was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

The 17-year-old suffered minor injuries and was treated by the Seminole County Fire Department.
