Proposed City of Love sculpture in Kissimmee. (City of Kissimmee)

KISSIMMEE, Fla. – There could be a lot of K-I-S-S-I-N-G in Kissimmee this Valentine’s Day, as city officials are considering a gift and celebration that could put the city in the spotlight as “The City of Love.”

At Tuesday night’s commission meeting, the city is being asked to approve the donation of a new sculpture titled “The City of Love” from the National Chamber of Arts/CAM USA. The organization proposes to install the sculpture permanently at Lakefront Park.

According to the proposal, the sculpture, valued at $10,000, is designed to be a landmark celebrating love, weddings, anniversaries, and tourism in Kissimmee. The piece is interactive and intended as a photo opportunity for both residents and visitors.

In addition to accepting the donation, the city is asked to authorize the use of Lakefront Park on Saturday, Feb. 14, 2026, — Valentine’s Day — for a mass wedding celebration. The event will serve as the official unveiling of the sculpture.
