ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – A string of deadly shootings involving teenagers in Orange County has left residents shaken and searching for answers.
The latest shooting happened Sunday night, when deputies say a 16-year-old boy was killed in a neighborhood on 26th Street.
According to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded around 9 p.m. to the 1500 block of 26th Street, where they found Lil’Raylin Harrison suffering from gunshot wounds. He was rushed to a hospital, but did not survive.

Detectives said they are still working to identify a suspect in Harrison’s killing. Anyone with information is urged to contact Crimeline at 800-423-TIPS. Tips can remain anonymous.
Sunday’s shooting marked the third teen killed in Orange County in just five days.
On Christmas Eve, a 17-year-old boy was shot and killed near a condominium complex along PGA Boulevard.
Then on Christmas Day, a 13-year-old girl was fatally shot inside a home on Okada Court. A 15-year-old is now facing a manslaughter charge in that case. The teen told deputies it was accidental.

Residents in the area said the loss of so many young lives in such a short amount of time is deeply unsettling.
“It’s almost like an everyday situation,” one resident said. “It could be anything, mostly getting high, getting drunk.”

Another resident said the violence is especially alarming because of how young the victims are.
“It’s kind of crazy because I used to be like that, but of course we all change,” the resident said. “Once you get that chance, you gotta take it. It’s serious. It really gets serious out here. It can happen to you when you’re 12, 10.”
Orange County Sheriff John Mina addressed the recent violence during a news conference last week, emphasizing that investigators are continuing to work through the holidays.
“I just want everyone to understand that while we’re all home enjoying the holidays with our family and friends, our deputies, our detectives, the men and women of the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, are working hard to bring justice to these families,” Mina said. “The pursuit of justice doesn’t stop.”
Deputies said all three cases remain active investigations and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
