Man accused of stealing mail while claiming to be a mailman, Orlando police say

ORLANDO, Fla. – Bodycam video released Sunday by Orlando police shows the arrest of a man accused of stealing mail while claiming to be a mailman, the agency said on social media.

Sean Cronin, 39, faces charges of possession of burglary tools, criminal mischief of $200 or less, petit theft, taking mail from a depository or carrier, unlawfully possessing five or more IDs and loitering or prowling.

He was booked Monday and is being held on a $4,600 bond, records show.

The video shows officers responding to reports of a male breaking into a community mailbox, with one of the officers soon stopping Cronin from biking away.

Officers soon said they found Cronin in possession of "burglary tools and a large amount of mail from multiple apartment complexes in the area," the post states.
