EATONVILLE, Fla. – Eatonville leaders on Monday night are set to revisit the controversial sale of the historic Hungerford property.

The Orange County School Board will review a draft contract for the sale of the 117-acre site to Dr. Phillips Charities, marking another crucial step in a process that has divided town leadership since its initial approval in September.

The property’s fate sparked a three-hour emergency meeting last week between council members and Mayor Angie Gardner, highlighting ongoing disagreements over the development plans.

The school board could take a final vote on the sale as early as Jan. 13.
