Florida gas prices drop 17 cents, marking lowest price since March 2021

ORLANDO, Fla. – Florida gas prices have dropped 17 cents per gallon in the last 10 days, marking the lowest daily average price since March 2021, according to AAA.

The average price per gallon in Florida as of Sunday was $2.69.

Florida’s average gas price is 14 cents less than it was a week ago and 44 cents less than one year ago, AAA said.

Regional Prices

  • Most expensive metro markets – West Palm Beach-Boca Raton ($2.88), Gainesville ($2.80), Naples ($2.77)
  • Least expensive metro markets – Crestview-Fort Walton Beach ($2.50), Panama City ($2.52), Pensacola ($2.55)

Ways to save on gas

  • Combine errands to limit driving time.
  • Shop around for the best gas prices in your community.
  • Pay with cash. Some retailers charge extra per gallon for customers who pay with a credit card.
  • Remove excess weight in your vehicle. Every 100 pounds taken out of the vehicle improves fuel economy by 1-2 percent.
  • Drive conservatively. Aggressive acceleration and speeding reduces fuel economy.
