ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Tater tots that are part of a nationwide recall have been pulled from Orange County Public Schools.
The tater tots, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, may be contaminated with “clear, hard plastic fragments.”
The recall affects Ore-Ida Tater Tots and Sysco Imperial Potato Tater Barrels that were distributed in 26 states, including Florida.

Orange County Public Schools said in a message to parents and guardians that the tater tots were removed from cafeterias and that the affected product will not be served to students.
The FDA classified this as a “Class 2″ recall, meaning the risk of serious injury is considered low.
However, families are urged to monitor their children for any unusual symptoms.
