‘DO NOT APPROACH:’ Missing 12-year-old in Lady Lake considered armed

LADY LAKE, Fla. – A 12-year-old girl was reported missing in Lady Lake on Wednesday, and deputies are urging residents to stay away from her, according to the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.

In a release on Wednesday evening, deputies said there was a heavy law enforcement presence near Curve Court and Precedent Parkway.

“Units are currently looking for a 12-year-old white female with red medium-length hair,” the release reads.

Deputies described the missing girl as being 4 feet, 11 inches tall, and weighing around 111 pounds. She was last seen wearing a gray shirt, jeans, and white-and-black crocs.

“PLEASE DO NOT APPROACH THE JUVENILE, AS SHE IS CONSIDERED ARMED,” the release continues.
