ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – A state House candidate and disability advocate in Central Florida is now under fire after a viral video caught him shouting a racial slur at a 7-Eleven employee.

The video, which was posted on TikTok by the account @mindofapgl, shows a man running into the store as an employee films him.

“Delete that right now!” he can be heard yelling while pointing toward the camera.

The employee refuses, and the man quickly picks up an object off the counter.

“Delete it,” he says again.

“Hit me if you want to,” the employee responds. “You don’t want to. You’re not gonna touch me.”

The man is then heard demanding that the employee “delete it” several more times before throwing the object away and storming out of the store. As he heads through the entrance, he shouts a racial slur.

“(Expletive) you, (expletive)!” he yells.

Afterward, he is seen walking away before coming back up to the store window and pounding on the pane. The video then ends.

Later, the man was identified as Michael Lincoln-McCreight, a disability advocate who is a member of Orange County’s Disability Advisory Board. He is also running as a Republican for the District 41 state House race later this year.

While little context is available for the viral clip, News 6 reached out to the county for a statement. A spokesperson responded on Friday as follows:

“Orange County is aware of the video, and the County Attorney’s Office is reviewing its content and will advise on next steps. Once a determination is made, we will update you.”

According to Disability Rights Florida (DRF), Lincoln-McCreight — who reportedly suffered from a developmental disability — was declared “incompetent” by a court in 2014 and forced into a guardianship.

But after he contacted DRF, an attorney helped him get the guardianship terminated, the group reports.

“Today, Michael is a Self-Advocate who works with organizations like Stand Up for Independence, Family Care Counsel, and Disability Rights Florida to defend the rights of people with disabilities and promote (Supported Decision-Making),” DRF’s website reads.

No additional information has been provided at this time.
