According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, Dyal had “multiple obvious signs of impairment,” including a strong smell of alcohol on his breath, while a field sobriety test was administered.
The sheriff’s office said Dyal consented to a blood draw and that a sample will be submitted for testing to determine his BAC.
Polk County Public Schools released the following statement on his arrest:
We commend our school staff for noticing that something was off, and not allowing this individual to proceed to the classroom yesterday. What a terrible decision and unacceptable behavior from someone working on a campus. This person will no longer have any involvement with PCPS.
