According to KTVK, the unidentified driver was arrested for aggravated DUI, possession of methamphetamine and possession of wildlife. The Arizona Game and Fish Department came to pick up the owl, which had minor injuries and could not be released back into the wild, according to KTVK.

Following a field sobriety test, Steele was arrested and taken to the Polk County Jail. Deputies also collected two breath samples that read .183 and .178 grams of alcohol per 210 liters of breath. “Thankfully, this was not a serious crash, but the issue of driving while impaired is still a very serious problem.”According to the sheriff’s office, Steele is currently employed by Polk County schools in the curriculum and instruction department as a social science coach.

OCKLAWAHA A woman with a history of DUI was arrested by a sheriffs deputy when she was found unconscious in a parked car along the side of a roadway. A man told a dispatcher that a woman was in the vehicle. Marion County Fire Rescue officials arrived first and treated the woman, later identified as Carrie Rae Geer. Fire officials told deputies they smelled an odor of alcohol coming from Geer, 42, of The Villages. After she was seen by fire officials, deputies spoke with Geer.

Brevard eye doctor arrested on DUI charge
VIERA, Fla. - A Brevard County eye doctor was arrested over the weekend on DUI charges. Dr. Nicholas Pefkaros, 46, was arrested Saturday after Brevard County sheriff's deputies received a call about a reckless driver near Stadium Parkway and Windsong Way, west of I-95. According to an arrest report, Pefkaros told deputies that he took a Xanax and had one drink after meeting with patients. Pefkaros works at Space Coast Opthalmology in Titusville and also has an office in Viera. Pefkaros performed field sobriety tests, and deputies determined that his faculties were impaired, according to the arrest report.

Richard Cicero Cole, 55, was arrested on DUI and violation of probation charges. OCALA A man on lifelong probation for second-degree murder was arrested on a DUI charge Monday morning. The officer said she told Cole the reason for the stop and he apologized multiple times, according to the arrest report. Garcia said Cole told her he should not have been driving because he was drinking and was coming from a place off Northeast Eighth Avenue. Cole's life time probation for the second degree murder began Aug. 9, 2016, according to state records.
