ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – A suspect is in custody after an incident Friday evening in Orange County that left him and two others hurt, according to the sheriff’s office.
Deputies responded around 7:30 p.m. to the 2800 block of Aein Road, where they located an injured woman who was then taken to a hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office said in a series of statements.
It was initially believed that the woman was shot, but the sheriff’s office clarified Saturday that she had other types of injuries and remained seriously hurt.
Further, after the suspect left the initial victim’s residence, he’s accused of firing shots in the street and striking a man in his 30s who was treated at the scene for minor injuries, the sheriff’s office said in a statement.
Deputies later made contact with the suspect, “who was alive but suffering from a self-inflicted gunshot wound,” the statement reads.
The suspect was taken to a hospital for treatment, according to the statement.
