3 arrested after Daytona Beach domestic dispute spills into road, ends in shooting that injures man

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Daytona Beach police arrested three people after a domestic disturbance escalated into a roadside shooting that left a man injured on Tuesday, according to a news release.

Police said they responded to reports of a shooting at 635 W. International Speedway Boulevard around noon. Investigators determined the incident began as an argument between a man and a woman, which turned physical.

During the confrontation, a woman identified as Willetta Tillman contacted two others — De’Shaune Eady and Tamara Maddox — who arrived and became involved in the altercation, according to the release.

Police said the “involved individuals” later left the area in a vehicle, with the victim following in another car. While the vehicles were traveling alongside each other, a firearm was discharged, striking the victim in the hand. Police identified Eady as the alleged shooter.

The victim’s injuries were described as non-life-threatening.

All suspects connected to the incident have been identified and arrested, according to police, who said there is no ongoing threat to the community. The case remains under investigation.

According to the release, Eady, 36, was arrested and faces charges of firing a weapon from a vehicle, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, and possession of a deadly weapon by a convicted felon.

Police said Tillman was arrested and faces a charge of domestic battery.

Jail records show that Maddox faces a charge of battery related to the incident.
