ORLANDO, Fla. – After a home invasion was reported on Wednesday evening, Orlando police said they managed to catch one of the people involved.
In an arrest affidavit, police said a shooting was reported around 7 p.m. at an apartment along Cinderlane Parkway.
Upon arrival, officers learned that several armed men had gotten out of a nearby car and tried to get into the apartment earlier in the evening.
One of the men, who was clad in a black coat and ski mask, managed to burst into the apartment, causing two women to flee.
“(One of them) stated that as she was running, she heard about three gunshots coming from inside the apartment,” the affidavit reads.

The women then ran to a nearby 7-Eleven convenience store, where one of them called 911, investigators explained.
Meanwhile, another person in the apartment was asked by the suspect “where the money was,” police said. The victim took the suspect to a safe in the apartment that turned out to be empty, and the victim was subsequently struck in the back of the head with an apparent firearm and knocked out.
According to the police department, one of the suspects involved was identified as Kamilo Marrero, 18, who was later found at his home in Apopka.
