CASSELBERRY, Fla. – A Seminole County strip club is being sued after a man died following a medical emergency on its premises, according to court records obtained by News 6.
The lawsuit, filed Monday by the widow of Rajeev Nayee, states that employees at Rachel’s North Men’s Club and Steakhouse in Casselberry failed to get him proper medical help when he lost consciousness. Instead of calling 911, staff reportedly put Nayee in a taxi and sent him home without administering first aid or attempting to stabilize him.

At the time he was removed from the premises, the lawsuit adds that Nayee had stopped breathing and required immediate medical attention, which was not provided.
The complaint further states that Rachel’s employees were negligent in their response and failed to protect Nayee from harm. It also claims the defendants failed to train and supervise their staff on how to handle medical emergencies and did not have reasonable safety protocols in place for patrons in distress.
The lawsuit also adds that Nayee had a prior incident just months earlier at another Rachel’s location near Orlando International Airport. On that occasion, Nayee also lost consciousness, but emergency medical services were called, and he was transported to a hospital and admitted.
As a result, Nayee’s family seeks damages of $15,000 for loss of support and services, mental pain and suffering, loss of earnings, funeral and hospital expenses, and other damages.
