In a heavily redacted arrest affidavit, Daytona Beach police said officers were called to Clyde Morris Landings apartment homes and talked to the “reporting party.”
Police said the boy created a “well-founded fear for (the other person’s) life,” according to the affidavit.
Officers went to the boy’s home, found the door unlocked and slightly opened it, yelling “police department multiple times,” the affidavit stated.
According to police, as officers were talking to the boy, his mother arrived home. The boy was read his Miranda rights, which were explained to his mother.
The boy was then arrested and taken into custody, police said.
The boy’s arrest was made just days before Volusia deputies announced that a 12-year-old was arrested on allegations of writing and posting a “detailed manifesto” about a mass shooting plan at a DeLand school.
