APOPKA, Fla. – A recent verbal argument that began at a Family Dollar escalated to a bullet through someone’s windshields, according to Apopka police.
The shooting occurred after the victim left the store on South U.S. 441 while the suspect was following them in a separate vehicle, the Apopka Police Department said on social media.
Photos shared by the police department show where a bullet entered and exited the vehicle’s cab through the rear and front windshields.
The suspect was successfully apprehended after detectives and patrol officers followed up on leads, conducted surveillance, and gathered critical evidence, the post states.
No one was injured in the shooting, police said.
“While we are grateful that this incident did not result in any injuries, this type of reckless and violent behavior is completely unacceptable,” the post states. “Disputes should never escalate to gun violence. APD remains committed to holding individuals accountable and ensuring the safety of our community.”
