ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – A man was arrested early Sunday in the fatal shooting of a 29-year-old man outside an after-hours club in Orange County, according to deputies.
Deputies responded around 3:30 a.m. to Bistro Paradise Restaurant and Bar in the 700 block of N. Apopka Vineland Road, where they found Kendy Alexandre with a gunshot wound to the head. He was taken to a hospital, where he later died, officials said.
According to an affidavit for arrest warrant, witnesses told deputies that the shooter was driving a lifted green Jeep, which was located soon after heading north on North Apopka Vineland Road.
Deputies stopped the Jeep and were able to get confirmation from two witnesses that the driver, 33-year-old Rijkaard Florvil, was the suspected shooter, according to the affidavit.
Florvil told detectives that he was at the club when a fight happened in the parking lot. He said he fired two shots into the air while the fight was going on, according to the affidavit, and left the scene but turned around to come back. Florvil said the gun was in the glovebox of his Jeep, according to the affidavit.

One witness, according to deputies, said they saw Florvil shoot the victim in the head.
The affidavit said surveillance videos from the parking lot and in front of the business shows Florvil running from his Jeep toward the victim with what appeared to be a gun in his hand.
People are seen running from Florvil and the victim before Florvil is seen confronting the victim, raising his right arm toward him and a flash is seen, the affidavit shows. The victim then fell to the ground before Florvil slowly walked back to his Jeep and took off, deputies said.
“Florvil was shown this video by detectives and continued to say that he only fire in the air so someone else must have shot the victim. When confronted with what the video shows and the two witnesses identifying him as the person who shot the victim in the head, he asked for a lawyer,” the affidavit reads.
Florvil was arrested and faces a charge of first-degree murder with a firearm.
