OCOEE, Fla. – A nurse accused of sexually battering a patient at AdventHealth Orlando is expected to appear in court on Monday.
Abedinecho Katue, 46, was arrested last week after Orlando police said he entered the hospital room of an amputee patient last year and sexually assaulted her. He’s also accused of giving the patient morphine, despite the patient’s request not to.
Katue faces charges of sexual battery on a physically incapacitated person, as well as lewd/lascivious battery on a disabled person.
Katue was initially ordered held without bond. His attorney asked a judge to set bond and allow him to be released while the case moves toward trial.
A bond hearing is scheduled for 9 a.m. in Orange County court.
