ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Heavy smoke filled the area near the intersection of West Landstreet and Sidney Hayes Road on Monday as crews responded to a large scrap-metal fire.
Fire officials said crews, including a drone team, were on scene working the fire, which involved a 50-by-50 pile of scrap metal, and firefighters reported that water was being applied to the flames, according to Orange County Fire Rescue.

No structures were threatened at the time of this report, and there were no civilian injuries. One firefighter was being evaluated after feeling lightheaded; officials said that person was being assessed and no other injuries were reported.
