Woman arrested in shooting at Rihanna’s home had legal issues in Orlando

Ivanna Ortiz, 35, held on $10 million bond, records show

ORLANDO, Fla. – The woman who was arrested for shooting at Rihanna’s Beverly Hills home Sunday has had encounters with police in Orlando, News 6 has learned.

Ivanna Lisette Ortiz, 35, was booked for attempted murder and is being held on a $10.225 million bond, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The LAPD said Ortiz parked her car outside of Rihanna’s home and fired seven shots before driving away. Police said they recovered “assault rifle casings” outside the home. It’s not clear whether Rihanna or anyone else was inside the home at the time.

News 6 learned that Ortiz lived in Orlando as recently as last year, when she cited an Orlando address in an emergency petition for a temporary injunction against Live Nation and the city of Orlando. In the injunction that was filed last October, Ortiz asked a judge to prevent the defendants from allowing Billie Eilish to perform at the Kia Center.

A circuit court judge in Orange County denied the motion as moot, noting that the Billie Eilish concert had already concluded by the time the motion was filed.

In 2023, Orlando Police arrested Ortiz on a charge of domestic battery against her ex-husband. Several months later, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office arrested Ortiz for violation a domestic injunction.

News 6’s Mike Valente went to the address cited on Ortiz’s lawsuit, but no one answered the door.

A neighbor told Valente that Ortiz had informed her late last year that she was leaving Orlando for Los Angeles, where she had family. The neighbor called Ortiz “nice and friendly.”

A Facebook page that appears to belong to Ortiz features posts as recently as last month that included disparaging remarks about several celebrities, including Rihanna. Ortiz also has a YouTube page where she has posted videos of herself reading Bible verses.
