ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – An employee of Orange County Public Schools has been accused of molesting a child, according to jail records obtained by News 6.

These records show that the employee — identified as Rogelio Santos, Jr., 57 — was booked on Thursday by the Apopka Police Department.

News 6 reached out to the district for more information.

“The arrest of Mr. Santos was for charges unrelated to the school,” said OCPS Media Relations Administrator Michael Ollendorff. “He is on administrative leave while the Office of Professional Standards investigates the allegations.”

While few details are available about the circumstances behind Santos’ arrest, jail records show he faces two counts of lewd or lascivious molestation of a victim under 12 years old. He is held without bond.
