CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. – It could be beachgoers’ lucky day when it comes to seeing a St. Patrick’s Day rocket launch.

SpaceX’s Falcon 9 is targeting the launch of 29 Starlink satellites to low Earth orbit from Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40) at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station at 9:27 a.m. Tuesday.

The first stage supporting this flight is on its 11th mission, having previously launched SES O3b mPOWER‑E, Crew‑10, Bandwagon‑3, mPOWER‑D, CRS‑33, and five Starlink missions.

Following stage separation, the booster is scheduled to attempt a landing on the autonomous spaceport drone ship A Shortfall of Gravitas, which will be stationed in the Atlantic Ocean.

The flight will add to SpaceX’s Starlink constellation, the company’s broadband network made up of thousands of small satellites in low Earth orbit.
