VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. – A man was arrested after a fatal stabbing at a home in Daytona Beach on Wednesday afternoon, according to the Volusia Sheriff’s Office.
In a release, deputies said they responded to 1028 Gary Blvd. around 2:50 p.m. in response to the incident.
“The initial investigation indicates the suspect stabbed his wife’s boyfriend on the front porch of their home,” the release reads. “The suspect and his wife are still legally married, but had unofficially ended their relationship while continuing to live together. The wife’s boyfriend had moved in earlier this year.”

While the boyfriend was initially taken to the hospital with critical life-threatening injuries, he later succumbed to his wounds, deputies added. The husband is now in custody.
