According to a crash report, the rider — a 22 year old from Deer Island— was riding in the outside lane, when he was rear ended by a sedan and thrown from his bike, directly into the path of a sport utility vehicle traveling in the center lane, the report states.
The rider was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital where he was later pronounced dead, troopers said.
No one else in the accident was injured.
The incident marks at least the third fatal motorcycle crash in Central Florida on Saturday, after riders were killed in unrelated SUV crashes in Orange County and Volusia County.
