PALM BAY, Fla. – There was a heavy police presence in Palm Bay on Monday evening after reports of gunfire in the area, according to the department.
In a release, police said they responded to a “disturbance” where shots were fired near Jupiter Boulevard and Serenade Street.
“Residents and motorists are asked to stay clear of this area,” the release reads.

Police also told News 6 that no one was struck, nor were officers involved in the shooting.
“A person has barricaded themselves inside of a residence,” police continued. “Our SWAT and Crisis Negotiations Team are on scene, and we urge citizens to stay out of the area.”
