LAKE COUNTY, Fla. – A Lake County man has been sentenced to over 200 years in prison after being caught in an undercover sting operation nearly three years ago, according to the State Attorney’s Office.
In a release on Wednesday, SAO officials said that the man — identified as John Marchlewski, 55 — was convicted on 15 counts of possessing child pornography.
The case stems back to May 2023, when the five-day sting — known as “Operation M.A.P. Mirage” — ended with Marchlewski and several other men being taken into custody.
Per the SAO, investigators were originally tipped off about Marchlewski, a registered sex offender, uploading files containing child pornography. A search of his devices revealed similar materials.

“Of the disturbing videos this defendant possessed of very young children being sexually abused, one was less than 2 years old — just a toddler," State Attorney Bill Gladson said. “The mere thought of someone abusing a toddler, or any child, for their own sexual gratification is sickening.”
SAO officials reported that Marchlewski was given a 15-year prison sentence for each of his charges, resulting in a total of 225 years that he’s expected to remain behind bars.
“Whether you are a pedophile producing the material or the deviant viewing and sharing it, we will charge you and make sure you are punished to the fullest extent possible by law,” Gladson finished.
