LAKE COUNTY, Fla. – A substitute teacher at Lake Minneola High School was arrested on Monday after she was caught “acting erratically” in class, according to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.
In a case report, deputies said the incident happened around 10:20 a.m., when a school resource deputy received a Centegix staff alert.
Upon arrival to the classroom, the deputy found the sub — identified as Angela Faith Jourdan — yelling “incoherently,” stating that they should “put her in prison for life,” the report shows.

Investigators said they learned that before their arrival, Jourdan had been yelling, slamming her hands on a desk, making inappropriate statements to students, and “twerking” in the classroom.
This included telling students that she would engage in sexual activity with them and referring to herself as a “million dollar prostitute,” deputies added.
“Assistant Principal Pannett entered and instructed Ms. Jourdan to gather her belongings and leave the classroom,” the report reads. “Ms. Jourdan refused, stating that she did not want to be (Tasered).”
Jourdan continued refusing to leave, prompting the deputy to restrain her and escort her to the front office, the report reveals.
Meanwhile, investigators said they spoke with a victim, who claimed that Jourdan had battered her.

“As the bell rang and students began exiting, [REDACTED] stated she was among the last to leave when Ms. Jourdan yelled at her, called her a derogatory name, and placed her hands on [REDACTED] head and the back of her neck before moving her hand toward [REDACTED] throat,” the report continues.
Now, Jourdan faces misdemeanor charges of disorderly conduct, simple battery, and two counts of disruption of a school function.

“Good afternoon -- We are aware of the arrest. Parents have been notified. The substitute teacher was hired 2/4/2025, and employment was terminated today.”
