Casselberry breaks ground on 55-plus Terracotta Terrace project

New 152-unit complex offers amenities for active adults

CASSELBERRY, Fla. – City leaders and business officials broke ground Wednesday on a new 55-plus community they say will bring more housing options to Casselberry.

The project, called Terracotta Terrace, is planned for 1398 S.R. 436 and is expected to include 152 units for active adults.

According to the developer, the five-story community will include amenities such as a pool, fitness center, theater, dog park and outdoor gathering spaces.

Developers say the project is aimed at active adults looking for a maintenance-free lifestyle in Casselberry and nearby communities.

At the groundbreaking, city leaders said the project reflects the kind of development they want to see in the city, while business leaders praised the partnerships that helped bring it to Casselberry.

Construction is expected to be completed by the fourth quarter of 2027.
