BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. – An elementary school teacher was arrested on Friday after being caught with drugs following a well-being check, according to the Titusville Police Department.
In a release, police said the school district had been trying to find the teacher — identified as Teresa Mancini, 52 — for several days about an employment matter.
“Mancini was employed at Coquina Elementary School,” the release reads. “After being unable to make contact, (Brevard Public Schools) requested assistance from the Titusville Police Department.”
Officers said they later found Mancini at the Days Inn, where she was discovered with a bag that held a glass pipe and around 1.1 grams of methamphetamine.
