Death investigation underway at Kissimmee apartment complex

KISSIMMEE, Fla. – Kissimmee police are investigating a death after officers responded to a shooting Tuesday night in a Kissimmee neighborhood.

Officers with the Kissimmee Police Department were dispatched to the 3100 block of Blue Heron Drive after a 911 caller reported hearing a single gunshot. Upon arrival, officers located one person dead at the scene.

In a statement to News 6, Kissimmee police determined the shooting involved a self-inflicted gunshot wound, and there is no indication of foul play.

No additional information has been released, as the investigation remains active.
