Suspicious device shuts down John Young Parkway near US-192 in Osceola County

KISSIMMEE, Fla. – John Young Parkway in Osceola County is shut down in both directions because of a suspicious device.

This is happening in the area of Columbia Avenue, just north of U.S. 192, according to officials.

Kissimmee police said the suspicious device is located on a bridge, and a bomb squad has been called out to the area.

Northbound John Young Parkway is closed at Columbia Avenue, while southbound JYP is closed at Donegan Avenue.

Avoid John Young Parkway in this area if you can. There is a large police presence.
