Major damage left after Ocala storm

OCALA, Fla. – Downed trees and power lines — that’s what Ocala fire officials say was left behind after storms swept through the area Saturday.

Photos show trees on some homes and sprawled across roads.

Fire officials say there were road blockages and that while the damage appears structural, the risk remains of hard-to-see power lines across roads.

They’re warning people to stay indoors and off roads in the impacted area as first responders and utility workers move through.
